Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Deputy Party Leader Wycliffe Oparanya has revealed why he has been silent regarding the party leader Raila Odinga lately.
The Kakamega Governor has remained silent on the former Prime Minister' woes lately, including attacks from the ruling Jubilee side.
But in an interview on Radio Maisha on Tuesday morning, Oparanya claimed that he never saw anything worth his intervention, saying that he will only come to Raila's rescue when necessary.
"Baba ako sawa, hana shida yoyote, nitamtetea tu akiwa na shida (Raila is fine and has no problems worth my intervention currently. In case of any, I will surely come in)," said the county boss.
He also weighed-in on Deputy President William Ruto's Saturday remarks that the Western Kenya region should back his 2022 presidential bid.
Ruto demanded appreciation for facilitating Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi's ascent to the Deputy Prime Ministerial seat after the 2007 general polls.
However, Oparanya who is also eyeing the presidential post in the same race said that the past agreements no longer apply.
