"We take our time to look and select a partner because marriage is not anything you can rush into," Saida Abubakar, a student at a local university says.

1. Stingy men
Somali single ladies just like other women have no room fo stingy men.
These ladies argue that dating stingy men is waste of time.
"I cannot date a stingy man because he will never take care of your needs, " Abubakar says.
Somali ladies say that stingy men often only care for themselves and lack vision and ambition in life.
2. Mama's boy
Single Somali ladies say that Mama's boy is a no-go zone for them.
The ladies argue that mama's boys are often attached to their mothers and have no time for their women.
"Dating or marrying a Mama's boy is like signing a sentence for loneliness, these men never have time for their women," Aisha Noor, a student at a local university says.
3. Playboys
Somali women say that they never date or agree to marry 'playboys'.
These ladies say that men who cheat in a relationship are not their types.
Somali ladies love and fall for faithful men who are responsible to take care of themselves.
"We don't do men who cheat and we treat such men as cowards and irresponsible people," Aisha says.
4. Immature men
Somali single women argue that they can never waste their time with immature men.
These ladies argue that some men are naturally immature and don't change.
5. Unreligious men
Somali single ladies say that they don't fall for men who don't value religion.
The ladies say that they use the man's seriousness with religion to measure whether he is ready to commit or not.
"Having a good relationship with God or Allah is a key factor for us Somali women and we don't date or marry men who don't worship," Amina Abubakar, a student says.
