A Kenyan woman, Elizabeth Sineno Kahidi from Watamu in Mombasa has appealed for help to get out of Saudi Arabia where she is stuck.
In an audio recording she sent online, the young woman revealed that she is currently being held at labour offices Al Jouf Sikaka in Saudi Arabia where things are not good for her.
Sineno has narrated how her dreams of making things better in her life were shuttered while in Saudi Arabia.
She left the country in 2014 hoping to get a good job in Saudi Arabia. While in Saudi Arabia, her first boss wasn't so good so she terminated her contract after three months and went back to her "manager."
Another lady hired her for four months. This lady, who she terms as an agent, used to loan her out for one month in different places.
However, last year on June 16, 2018, after the Ramadhan festival, she went back to her boss. This is when things took a different twist as she found out that one of the workers, A Ghanaian lady, had run away and gone to the police.
Their boss told them that they will be leaving her home that day. In the evening, the lady together with her son and her sister drove them to a city called Tabuk, where they faked a puncture and asked everyone to alight.
Sineno recounts that her their luggage was taken off the vehicle as the lady, her son and her sister drove off leaving her and her colleague stranded..
They called the police who came and took them to their office. They were asked questions which they answered to their knowledge. They stayed at the police station for one month.
After that month, the police boss came and took them to Sikaka, where they are currently.
The lady went ahead to ask those who have heard her cries to forward the audio until help is found.
"We are appealing, anyone listening to this audio, to ask for help to rescue her..We need help to get out of here and go back home because, where we are right now, it's more than a year (Tunawaomba, mwenye ataskia hii audio, amutumanie .... Tupate musaada wa kutoka hapa kwenye tuko na sisi turudi kwetu maana sai apa kwenye tuko tumemaliza mwaka mmoja sai," )she said.
