The Lake Region Economic Block (LREB) has taken up the services of Deloitte East Africa to be it’s financial adviser.LREB chairman who is also the governor of Kakamega, Wycliffe Ambesta Oparanya says, the reason of hiring Deloitte East Africa is a move aimed at boosting their aim of putting up a regional bank.Speaking in Kisumu, Oparanya reiterated that their plans of having a regional bank between the county members is up and running.“Deloitte East Africa will be our financial advisor on the bank project, and already various county governments have made provisions in their budgets to collect funds for an existing bank,” he said.Oparanya has also said, the LREB will organize an investment conference in Bomet slated on the 23rd – 26th of October this year.He added that President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to grace the official opening of the conference.
