Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has weighed his opponents ahead of the 2022 gubernatorial race.
Maangi speaking when he was accompanied by MPs, Richard Tongi for Nyaribari Chache and Ezekiel Machogu for Nyaribari Masaba when consoling with the family and friends of the late Peninah Nyaboke Onsembe, mother to Ken Onsembe who is the Kisii County Attorney said opponents have limited chances to win the top seat in 2022.
"Members of Kisii county will not vote for people who are interested in propaganda from January until December. Those seeking various political seats should focus on development and not falsehood about elected leaders whose mandate is to serve residents without discrimination," he said.
According to him, he is best suited to succeed his boss in 2022.
He, however, assured that he will respect the will of the people in 2022.
"Everyone must sell his or her ideologies to the electorates and accept the final decision in the ballot," he said.
Maangi said he doesn't depend on the endorsement from anyone ahead of 2022 because he has served a deputy governor for two terms.
