Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa appears to know much about the activities of the fake gold syndicate if what she said recently is anything to go by.
In her speech, she claimed that the General Service Unit (GSU) officers were used to guard a house in Karen from where the syndicate is alleged to have planned its illegal activities.
What's more, she held the view that Dr Matiang'i is hiding something from the public.
"Matiang'i doesn't have anything to tell us. He must step aside. Matiang'i how come the GSU was in the house of people who are engaged in illegal activities? We have seen our officers guarding that house. You can't tell us anything. There is no way Matiang'i knows nothing about this, " she fired.
Those are very serious allegations to make about GSU officers and the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government Dr Fred Matiang'i.
Her claims alone should warrant the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to summon her to write a comprehensive statement on what she knows.
Clearly, she seems to know the back story of the fake gold scandal.
You don't stand up in public and more so in a sacrosanct house of worship to peddle propaganda.
Judging from the tone and passion with which she delivered her stinging words, one gets the impression that she believed in the them.
There was conviction behind them.
She now has the moral and even legal, some might argue, to tells doing investigations what she knows.
