Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i has asked Kisii and Nyamira residents not to disappoint him in the ongoing Huduma Namba registration.
Matiang'i said residents in the two counties should turn up in large numbers to register for the Huduma Namba.
"I want to urge our people in Kisii and Nyamira counties to show up in large numbers to get huduma number because I don't want to be ashamed. I'm pushing for the exercise and therefore, it will be so shameful if Nyamira and Kisii counties won't register in large numbers," he said.
He warned local church leaders and politicians against telling lies to the public about the exercise noting that the Huduma Namba programme is only aimed at improving government's service delivery.
"Those going around saying the Huduma Namba is associated with evil should stop because they know nothing about the important exercise. Locals should ignore propaganda and register in large numbers," he stated.
Matiang'i insisted that he will not look back adding that he will not engage anyone criticising the Huduma Namba programme.
He was speaking on Friday at Miruka in Nyamira county.
