Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati has disowned ODM party Raila Odinga following his stand on the controversial 8 percent VAT on fuel.
Speaking on Monday morning during a radio interview at Egesa Fm Arati said Raila decision to support President Uhuru Kenyatta's new fuel tax is unacceptable.
"No one consulted Raila to support the 8 percent VAT on fuel. The decision he took is personal since it his democratic right," he said.
Arati regretted that Raila has lost focus because he has changed his style of politics since he losing the August 8, 2017 polls.
"It is sad that Raila has been accepting the bad decisions the Jubilee government is making each and every day. Raila has gone deaf and blind forgetting those people who stood firm with him," he said.
He maintained that the Jubilee government is corrupt and Kenyans will continue suffering due to the introduction of the 8 percent fuel tax.
The vocal MP said there are plans to oppose the passage of the 8 percent VAT on fuel in court.
