State House spokesperson Kanze Dena has broken silence on the whereabouts of President Uhuru Kenyatta and deactivation of his social media accounts.
Speaking on Monday during an exclusive interview with Radio Maisha, Dena said that Uhuru, who is completing his second and final term in power is fine. She also said that the decision to deactivate the accounts was personal.
"President Uhuru Kenyatta's Social Media accounts are his personal accounts. He has the right to activate or deactivate them as he wills. He has his reasons, and we respect that" ~ @KanzeDena | @radiomaisha,” she said.
Dena also said that Uhuru chaired an executive meeting since he returned from China. She dismissed claims that Uhuru has been underground because the government was denied a loan by the Chinese government some time back.
"I am shocked that people say they haven't seen the President since he left China, yet on 3rd of this month he had a meeting with executives from Global Fund and there was a Statement about it" ~ @KanzeDena | @radiomaisha,” she said.
Kenyans had embarked on a mission to find missing President after he maintained silence for some days since he jetted back. The President has been missing in action amid 2022 succession politics.
