Gatundu South Member of Parliament (MP) Moses Kuria has rebuked and told off the government officials sponsoring fake news.
Kuria's remarks comes amid death rumors spread by Polycarp Hinga on Tuesday claiming that Kibra MP Ken Okoth is no more.
In a Facebook post, Kuria noted that it is very immoral to spread fake news.
"For those people in Government who sponsor one Polycarp Hinga to sell Fake News, tell your boy it’s immoral to spread fake news that Hon Ken Okoth is dead," he posted
He added that the Kibra MP is a fighter and will triumph over colon cancer.
"Hon Okoth is a lion. You just have no idea what steel he is made of," he added.
The Kibra MP assured Kenyans that he is alive and asked them to dispel off the rumors that he is no more.
"I'm alive and kicking. Folks should stop killing me before my time with rumours," he tweeted.
