Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has asked former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to quit the 2022 presidential race after his candidates lost in the just-concluded Embakasi South and Ugenya constituencies by-elections.
Kuria took to his Facebook page to inform Raila Odinga that the 2022 presidential race was between him (Kuria) and DP Ruto asking him to quit the race and back him.
“I send my condolences to Baba for losing both at home in Ugenya and away in Embakasi South. From the foregoing it is clear that 2022 is an outright two horse dead heat between William Ruto and myself. I seek your support Baba,” Kuria who has already declared that he will be in the coming presidential race posted.
In Embakasi South, ODM party candidate Irshad Sumra conceded defeat to Wiper's Julius Mawathe even before the official results were announced by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
The race was too tough for ODM in Ugenya constituency.
