The women led by Florence Kerubo and Vivian Nyanchama claimed that ODM allied lawmaker promised them water but, nothing has been done to boost the supply of clean water for use.

"She gave us hope that she will push for drilling of boreholes to end water scarcity but, unfortunately, what we are seeing is the opposite. She is loitering in the county claiming to be empowering youth, women and disabled people yet she has not met her first promises," said Kerubo.

Ms. Kerubo stated that the MP has prioritized nepotism and regional imbalance since she won the 2017 polls.

Nyanchama said women have been fighting at water springs.

"As women, we have been forced to engage in physical fights at water fetching points in search of water while the MP is going round claiming to be issuing Affirmative Action Funds money to youth and women groups," she noted.

She added; "Let the MP keep her Affirmative Action Funds because anytime we are told to join groups to benefit from the Affirmative Action Funds we are ordered to pay Sh700."
