Embattled former Jubilee Chair David Murathe has once again reiterated that his recent remarks and attacks on Deputy President William Ruto.
Murathe has since declared war on Ruto and his 2022 presidential bid, terming him unfit to lead in that capacity and his bid as unconstitutional having held the seat for two terms.
In an interview with Citizen TV on Tuesday evening, the former Gatanga lawmaker insisted that he is an independent mind whose stand on the DP should not be linked to Uhuru.
"The views I stand for are my own personal views. What I am saying does not reflect Uhuru's stand. I have my own mind and makes my own decisions," he said.
However, he added that himself and like-minded persons remain strong supporters of the President even as he approaches his retirement in 2022.
And coming at a time when realignments seem to be in the making he said that Uhuru remains the ultimate Mt Kenya kingpin and its topmost decision maker.
He said that he would be willing to follow Uhuru as far as he goes and is willing to join the President in the opposition if he were to end up there.
"Our party is Uhuru. Even if he were to move out and join National Super Alliance (NASA), myself and like-minded persons will move there," he added.
This comes at a time when Uhuru seems to have found a new friend in his former sworn rival and opposition leader Rails Odinga, in what pundits argue might give both to a mega alliance.
However, both have maintained that their March 9 truce has nothing to do with matters politics but was aimed at promoting peace and cohesion in the nation.
