Kisii County ODM leader Samuel Omwando has dismissed claims that the National Super Alliance is no more.
The vocal politician said locals should ignore any local politicians who are out to spread propaganda about opposition coalition.
"NASA is officially in opposition. Those claiming that ODM party leader Raila Odinga and his former Presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka have decamped to Jubilee are desperate only telling lies to members of the public," he said.
According to him, some people are yet to understand the historic handshake between the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"The handshake didn't end opposition or multi-party politics but, was meant to bring peace, unity and harmony among Kenyans after last year's elections and repeat of the presidential election," he noted.
Omwando who unsuccessfully vied for the Kitutu Chache South MP seat on an ODM party ticket during the last year's general elections insisted that Raila is the official opposition leader.
"No one can 'overthrow' Raila from his opposition post unless he accepts to exit politics. Supporters should remain united ahead of the 2022 general elections," said the politician.
