A local politician allied to Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party has reacted over the levy deductions the government wants to introduce.
Former Kitutu Chache South MP hopeful Samuel Omwando said the levy deduction will only benefit Deputy President William Ruto and his close allies.
The vocal politician said President Uhuru Kenyatta's government will deduct the money from citizens but, DP Ruto will end up stealing the money for his own benefit.
"Levy deductions is a good idea because Kenyans will have affordable houses but, my worry is DP Ruto and his allies will end up diverting the money into their own pockets," he stated while speaking in Kisii town on Thursday.
Mr Omwando maintained that DP Ruto is corrupt in this country and wondered why the Head of State has not sacked him until today.
He argued that if DP Ruto will be sacked from government, hiked cases of corruption will come to an end.
"Uhuru should do away with DP Ruto if at all corruption will end in this country failure to which cases of corruption will not end any time soon," noted the politician.
