As president Uhuru's government is fighting corruption in the country, Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati, who is also eyeing the top seat in Kisii has sent a special message to Kisii Governor James Ongwae and Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama over corruption menace in the area.
Speaking during a harambee at Riatuya Seventh Day Adventist church in Nyamira on Saturday, Arati asked the county bosses to assess the corrupt workers who mercilessly loot county resources for their own benefit.
He said that he wants to see the thieves at the county level being caught and caned along the streets as they have become merciless as witchcrafts, maiming the developments in the region.
"We want to see the thieves at the county level one day, being taken out of the offices, caned along the streets in Nyamira and Kisii. These thieves have no mercy. They behave like witches. To the Governors you may not be able to control the thieves but through the handshake, a good opportunity arises to assess the workers and ensure the resources are controlled," he told the county bosses.
Arati has been in the forefront in fighting for human rights in the past. He has been making a lot of inroads in Gusii region to prepare ahead as he is eyeing the top Kisii county job.
