Charter flights from the United Kingdom to Mombasa will resume soon. This is after the UK Government lifted the travel advisory to Mombasa and the Kenyan Coast over security concerns.
This has been revealed by Mombasa County Chief Executive Committee Member in Charge of Trade, Tourism and Investment Fawz Mohammed who is in UK alongside Mombasa Deputy Governor Dr William Kingi and the County Tourism Chief Officer Innocent Mugabe.
During a courtesy call to the Kenya High Commission in London, where they were received by the Ag. High Commissioner, Grace W. Cerere, Mohammed revealed that the County Government of Mombasa will also support efforts of the high commission and Kenya Tourism Board in promoting Kenya through road shows in the UK cities.
The engagements gave focus to possible areas of collaboration in trade, tourism, investment, transport and logistics, education among others between Mombasa and the UK.
