The late Sharon Otieno’s father Douglas Otieno is confident that their daughter will eventually get justice.
Mr Otieno said he believes all is well, even after High Court judge Jessie Lessit on Wednesday released Migori Governor Okoth Obado on bail.
Obado is among three people who have been charged in connection to the murder of Ms Otieno and her unborn baby last month.
Her body was found dumped in Kodera Forest, early last month after being abducted alongside Nation Reporter Barack Oduor.
Oduor survived the ordeal after jumping off the abductors speeding car.
Speaking after Obado was released on bail, Mr Otieno said that all is not lost.
"I have heard that he has been released on bail. As a family, we have left everything to God and the courts," he was quoted by Standard.
Sharon was buried last week at her grandfather’s home in Magare Village, Homabay County.
The County boss was released on a Sh5 million cash bail and two sureties of Sh5 million each.
He was charged together with his aide Michael Oyamo and Migori County Secretary Caspal Obiero.
The three denied charges of murdering Ms Otieno and her unborn baby.
However, Oyamo and Obiero were not released on bail.
Their case will be heard between May 06 and May 17, 2019.
