Kisii Governor James Ongwae is in trouble over the poor health services being offered at Ogembo level 4 hospital.
Bomachoge Chache MP Alpha Miruka led locals to decry over the poor services at the facility.
He said the facility lacks drugs and enough staff to serve residents.
"The health services being offered to locals seeking medical care at the facility are poor. Governor Ongwae is doing nothing to improve the services. People are being referred to private clinics to buy drugs expensively instead of Governor Ongwae's government stocking enough drugs to be given for free to patients," lamented the MP as reported by Egesa Fm.
The lawmaker challenged the county boss to move with speed and ensure residents are accessing affordable health care.
A resident Vincent Obare decried lack of medical staff at the facility.
"Ongwae should deploy more medical staff to serve the increased number of patients thronging Ogembo level 4 hospital to seek treatment every day because the current medical staff are not enough," said Obare.
Another angry resident David Nyakwara protested that residents overwhelmingly supported Ongwae during the 2017 polls but, the Governor has ignored them.
Nyakwara appealed to Ongwae to take the health of residents serious by deploying enough health workers and stock more drugs for patients to use.
