The Ministry of Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa spent the better part of his Thursday morning at the DCI headquarters recording statement on to the Arror and Kimwarer dams' Sh21bilion saga.
In what appears to be a continuation of a blame-game, Wamalwa disclosed scanty details of what he told the DCI sleuths over the matter that has threatened the ruling party's top brass.
"Today I recorded a statement a the DCI Kenya headquarters on Arror and Kimwarer dams probe where I clarified that they were not under my jurisdiction," stated CS Wamalwa.
In the statement share on CS Wamalwa's social media, he urged Kenyans to support the ongoing investigations and the fight against corruption by the mandated agencies.
State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita also sent out an appeal affirming President Kenyatta's commitment to tame graft.
Waita stated that there will be no relenting on efforts to tackle corruption and to strengthen good governance in the public sector.
He warned those thinking the president will back down on the issue, holding that they were sadly mistaken.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigation is investigating a total of Sh21 billion advance payment to an Italian firm CMC Ravenna for the construction of the two dams amid questions why money was paid without project designs.
