Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji has been urged to ensure Migori Governor Okoth Obado is sent to jail to serve as an example to 'sponsors' killing University girls.
Dagoretti North MP Paul Simba Arati said Obado should not be released on bond because he is the main suspect in the brutal murder of murder of a Rongo university student Sharon Otieno.
"Governor Obado should face the law because he has been adversely mentioned in the brutal murder of Sharon Otieno. The DPP should not succumb to pressure and ensure Obado is sent to jail to serve as a lesson to men like him," he said.
According to the vocal MP, no one is above the law and therefore, Obado must not be spared.
"Old men chasing young girls for love and sex should be ready to spend. It is high time also for female University students to be vigilant on the men they are falling in love with," he said.
Arati was speaking on Monday morning during an interview at Egesa Fm.
