There was drama in Kisii Estate, Thika, on Sunday evening after a middle-aged man publicly battered a woman he claimed to be his girlfriend after she allegedly denied him sex.
The man whom neighbours only identified as 'Dennoh' claimed that he had done the girl a lot of favours yet the girl mistreats him.
"Last month I bought her an expensive phone on top of several costly wears I have been buying for her since we met 11 months ago. I also regularly pay for her manicure and pedicure to ensure she is always neat," shouted Dennoh in Kiswahili.
He added: "Look here, her phone is always off and I have been asking her what was the need of me buying her the same because even when I need to talk to her I can't reach her. Today I decided to take away the phone which she refused leading to all this drama. I have reliable information that she is hanging around with another guy and I refuse to be taken for a fool."
However, the girl whose identity we could not get immediately even from the neighbours as they said she doesn't reside in the estate, said that the man had tried to force her into having sex after he invited her into his rented house.
She, nevertheless, revealed that it was not the first time she was visiting his house as she admitted even having the keys to his house.
"I always come here even in his absence where I even cook and do some cleaning work for him before leaving. Yesterday, he asked me to come and cook for him which I did. After lunch, he asked me for sex which I flatly refused because I am not ready. He even tried to force me into having it but I took my bag and left the house," the estranged girlfriend said.
It is at this juncture, according to the girl, that the man decided to follow her and demanded that she hands over the phone to him leading to the bitter commotion that attracted a huge crowd of curious neighbours and passers-by.
The lady vowed to report the matter to the nearby Makongeni Police Station for action to be taken against the man saying that "no man has a right to place a finger on me including my own dad".
