Kisii County Education Board chairman Mr Henry Onderi has protested increased pregnancies among school going girls.
On Tuesday at Kisii town, Onderi said the number of school girls conceiving at tender age has substantially increased.
"The number of school going girls dropping out of school due to early pregnancies across the county is high. The level of illicit sex seeks to have gone high," he said.
He further claimed that parents have failed in their parental roles, adding that there is need to revisit the matter.
Onderi insisted that men who are found illicit affairs with school going children should be arrested and charged in court.
"I want to appeal to chiefs and police officers to ensure men caught engaging in sex with school girls are sent to jail. Any school girl who is pregnant should be questioned to reveal the man responsible for her pregnancy for necessary actions to be taken," he stated.
Mr Onderi urged parents to ensure their daughters who may have given birth while at school are readmitted.
