Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has won the hearts of many Kenyans after a photo of him waiting patiently for a jam to open up before he can proceed along Thika Road surfaced online.
Unlike most county bosses, Kibwana did not have sirens or his security team to ask other drivers to pave way for him.
In the most, we have seen other road users asked to leave the way for high profile persons in the nation.
This was, however, not the case with the county boss, who is considered one of the most successful politicians from the Ukambani region.
Kibwana, who was driving a silvery Prado, did not see the reason of intimidating other road users in the name of saving time.
While speaking to a local daily, Governor Kibwana’s Communications Director Isaac Ongiri said that he was in Nairobi to attend official duties for two weeks.
In the meantime, Kibwana has been one of the most influential leaders in the nation.
The second-time governor has been a strong supporter of former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka. He has promised to back Kalonzo as he seeks to ascend to power in 2022.
The governor also has an exemplary performance scoreboard.
