President Uhuru Kenyatta's body language during his White House visit early this week has been hailed as 'great and unprecedented' for a third world leader who was meeting the most powerful man in the world for the first time.

According to Wangu Kili who is a speech coach and non-verbal communication expert, Uhuru scored big time throughout his stay at the White House in Washington DC.

"The President never disappointed at all when the time to meet President finally came. Through his body language, you could see that at no time did he look intimidated. Actually, his body language showed clearly he was treating Trump as an equal," Kili told K24 TV on Saturday evening during an interview.

Kili added that Uhuru even did much better than leaders from first world countries that have met Trump at the White House before.

"From the corridor walk to the time time they got to the Oval Office, you could see the President was very much composed. Trump is known to be dominating and intimidating whenever he is meeting other world leaders. With Uhuru, that aspect of him never came out because he realized he was meeting a confident leader," Kili said.

She noted that while Uhuru and Trump posed for a photo together with their spouses, the President exhibited a 'towering figure' by the way he stood with his legs and hands apart.

Kili further noted that Uhuru's opening and closing of hands while addressing Trump was a sign of good composer, honesty and confidence in what he was saying.

The handshake with Trump, Kili observed, was also strong and was not dominated by Trump's usual 'mighty handshake'.
