An elected MP in Nyamira County has reacted following an MCA's remarks that Nyamira County should be made a Sub-County for Kisii County.
Borabu MP Ben Momanyi faulted Kiogoro ward MCA Samuel Apoko over the disrespectful remarks he made at a funeral on Friday at Nyansiongo area within Nyamira County.
The vocal MP said Kisii County MCAs especially Apoko should show respect to leaders from Nyamira County.
"Apoko must respect leaders from Nyamira County. His remarks that Nyamira County should be made a Sub-County for Kisii County sound immature and we won't condone such remarks," he noted.
Momanyi insisted that the MCA has nothing special unlike his colleagues from Nyamira County.
The Wiper Party elected MP maintained that elected leaders from Nyamira County are working around the clock to push Governor John Nyagarama to perform.
"Apoko is not special. Let him have respect for the people of Nyamira County. As MPs from the region we are working towards one goal that is to serve the electorates," he added.
The lawmaker who has declared interest to run for Nyamira County Governor seat in 2022 assured that development is his priority.
