Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati has fired a salvo at Kapseret lawmaker Oscar Sudi terming him a “criminal” following his latest attack on Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho.
Arati dismissed the Jubilee diehard lawmaker from Rift Valley saying that his attacks on Joho – who is also the Deputy Party leader for ODM – are unwarranted.
“Sudi is a criminal…if Sudi thinks Joho is a criminal, Sudi himself is criminal number one,” he told Hivisasa in an exclusive interview.
He added that he, in no way, thinks Joho is a criminal as alleged by the Kapseret MP because he hasn’t been charged in any court.
However, opined the Dagoretti North MP, “If you ask Sudi, Sudi is a lover of [the] court. He has been taken to court. He is a man who anytime you think of getting hold of; it’s either in parliament or the corridors of court or in his constituency.”
Sudi in his tirade two weeks ago purportedly linked Joho to the drug trade and also accused him of evading tax.
Joho has since sued Sudi alongside MPs Kimani Ichung’wa (Kikuyu) and Stephen Sang (Nandi Governor) for allegedly linking him to the drug trade.
The three Jubilee allied politicians hold that their claims linking the Mombasa Governor to drug trade are from a report by the Interior Ministry tabled in Parliament in 2010.
