Kisii County First Lady Elizabeth Ongwae has been criticized for allegedly donating cheap foodstuffs to orphans at New Life Orphanage.
A section of furious locals condemned Mrs. Ongwae terming her 'a bad example' to women.
"How could a whole wife to a governor make a cheap public relation to an orphanage to donate cheap foodstuff? It seems Ongwae has trained his wife on how to loot public funds," argued Celestine Bikeri.
She urged the county first lady to stop making false promises to needy people in the county which she can't fulfil.
"During her cheap public relation she promised to continue lending her support for needy children and members of the society but, she never explained how she is going to do it. Mrs. Ongwae must be ashamed of herself because orphaned kids don't need food but, proper education, shelter and clothing," she added.
Evans Kimasu said the county first lady is committed to misuse public funds through unnecessary visits to orphanages.
"Through such visits to orphanages you will hear huge amounts of money has been spent but, in the real sense, someone has pocketed the money alone. It is shameful that Mrs. Ongwae has copied what her husband is doing," said Kimasu.
