Citizen TV’s Jeff Koinange on Wednesday night met his match when he hosted West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo on the Jeff Koinange Live (JKL) Show.
The Governor took his time to explain to Jeff why he (Lonyangapuo) is the 'real' JKL.
He was given a white board and a marker pen and went ahead to write his full name as such; John Krop Lonyangapuo which he abbreviated to JKL.
“I am the real JKL, you are just JK Live,” he told Jeff amid giggles and laughter from the presenter.
Governor Lonyangapuo is serving his first term in office, having been elected during the 2017 General Election.
Before that, he served as the West Pokot County Senator between 2013 and 2017.
He has been under spotlight for allegedly allowing his deputy Dr Nicholas Atudonyang’ to operate from the United States of America.
In September last year, he was questioned by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) over his deputy’s continued absence from the county.
“I appeared here to answer questions on the whereabouts of my deputy governor after a group of people in West Pokot, particularly in Makutano wrote a letter to the EACC claiming he was given permission to go for a long time, that his air tickets were paid for and that he was given per diem to fly from city to city in the US, earn a salary and all that. I have cleared all that," he was quoted by Nation.
