Kitui South MP Rachel Nyamai has said Deputy President William Ruto will be the next Kenya's president after president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Nyamai said Ruto is the only candidate who is qualified to succeed president Kenyatta in 2022.
"Deputy President William Ruto is Kenya's choice for president in 2022 and he has the potential to continue development projects the president is initiating," Nyamai said.
She addressed her constituents inKitui town on Saturday.
Nyamai said the country will be in good hands if Ruto takes over from President Kenyatta.
She said Ukambani is ready to rally behind Ruto in 2022.
Nyamai said the Kamba nation will be guaranteed space in government if Ruto becomes president in 2022.
"As Ukambani, we will rally behind DP Ruto in 2022 in order to have our place in government," Nyamai said.
Nyamai is among Kamba politicians who are ardent supporters of President Uhuru Kenyatta's government.
The Kitui South MP won re-election in the 2017 general election on Jubilee Party ticket.
DP Ruto is among top politicians who are eyeing to succeed president Kenyatta in 2022.
