Political commentator Mutahi Ngunyi now wants Deputy President William Ruto to sue research firm IPSOS Synovate.
On Wednesday, the firm released finding on corruption that saw Ruto being ranked most corrupt Kenyan at 33 per cent.
And in his tweet, Ngunyi termed the research unverified adding that the firm should be sued for libel.
“William Ruto should sue IPSOS for LIBEL. In fact, Uhuru Kenyatta should also SUE them. They called him the FOURTH Most CORRUPT person in Kenya at 11%. The MERCENARY Scientist behind these POLLS is EXECUTING a Scheme. "Deputy President William Ruto"” read Mutahi’s tweet
Earlier, the DP had dismissed the opinion poll as propaganda staged by his 'competitors' who cannot match his development record.
“These constant, perennial, unending headlines about William Ruto this… William Ruto that… opinion poll this… corruption that… are all propaganda. I want to tell them that when they are through with the headlines, corruption and propaganda, let us meet at the development arena of the people of Kenya,” said Ruto.
Already, Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru has threatened to sue the research firm after she was ranked second most corrupt Kenyan at 31 per cent.
Coincidentally, both leaders met on Thursday, a day after the poll was released at Ruto's Karen office.
IPSOS has already dared Waiguru to move to court arguing that their findings are 'scientific'.
