A video of a woman scooping Blue Band margarine and then putting the scoop into boiling water went viral online last week.
What shocked many was the fact that the bread spread was not melting in hot water, triggering concerns that the bread spread could unhealthy.
Kenyans on social media have been reacting to the video.
Here is what the residents of Garissa had to say about the viral video:
''When I saw the video, I was shocked. I have thought all along that it melts under high temperatures,'' Abdi Jamaa said.
"The company should issue a statement and tell the public why that is the case,'' Balo Mohamed.
"I am a daily consumer of the product. I did reassurance from the company before I can resume consumption,'' Halima Said said.
I think the fact that it doesn't melt doesn't mean it is unhealthy. It is just a preservation mechanism,'' Nadhif Fukhe said.
