The man who rose from a humble background as a first born in a family of seven is well schooled and has since completing studies held various posts as highlighted below;

Kidero, according to Wikipedia was born in Nairobi's Majengo area in 1957.

He attended the prestigious Mangu High School where he served as the school's head prefect (head boy) before he joined the University of Nairobi to undertake a Bachelors Degree course in Pharmacy and successfully graduated in 1993. It is not, however, documented anywhere whether he took part in the institution's politics.

After leaving the institution with an undergraduate degree, he proceeded to pursue a Masters Degree in Business Administration at the United States International University in 1990 before joining the employment world.

Kidero began his employment hassle in his early twenties after graduating becoming a marketing agent at an international pharmaceuticals company.

"I would drive a van full of medicine all the way from Nairobi to Malindi moving from shop to shop and from door to door selling drugs," he said during an interview at Kiss 100 two years ago.

At the age of 29, he rose and became one of the youngest directors in Kenya after being appointed Marketing Director at GlaxoSmithKline at the age of only 33 earning a salary of Sh2,700.

He thereafter became the Chief Executive Officer at the embattled Mumias Sugar Company where he worked for eight years before joining politics.

He was elected Nairobi Governor in 2013 and was replaced by Mike Sonko after his defeat during the August 8th general poll.
