President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga's building bridges initiative witnessed Uhuru declaring that his pick for 2022 will surprise many leaving tongues waging as to who the president will pick.

His coordination and recent brotherly relationship with Raila Odinga has seen opposition strongholds that were 'forgotten' before receive recognition and the president launching projects that will help the community.

It will not surprise many if Uhuru settles for an opposition politician as his successor provided he gets the endorsement of ODM Leader Raila Odinga which will see the two opt to support other leaders from a different community.

The following are but a few likely candidates for deemed fit for his endorsement:

1.Dr.Fred Matiangi

The fierce Cabinet Secretary has been a corner stone in President Uhuru Kenyatta's reign as president since 2013.

His recent appointment as the 'Chief Minister' may not surprise many if Uhuru settles on him for 2022 since Matiangi has shown leadership qualities that have been admired by many through his transformational leadership.

His appointment to oversee all government projects is touted to have received Odinga's blessings and this may be a 'sign' of change of political governance in the country.

2.Dr.Alfred Mutua

The Machakos Governor and former government spokesperson has been bracing for the run to succeed president Uhuru and with his long history with the president, Odinga and Kenyatta may opt to support him from Ukambani to lead this country.

3.Wycliffe Oparanya

The Kakamega Governor and the Council of Governors Chair is a strong developmental figure in the Luhya community and is seen as a true reflection of the leadership that Nabongo advocated and advanced.

His pick by President Kenyatta will not surprise many as he is capable to deliver to this country as he commands respect for his stand on devolution and development.

4.Ali Hassan Joho

Mombasa county for years has been 'neglected' in terms of development but the handshake brought Mombasa to its new face as the president has made more visit to Mombasa and Kisumu than any part of this country.

Governor Joho might be a surprise pick for Uhuru as he commands not only Mombasa but fairly all parts of Kenya.
