An angered woman on Sunday clobbered her neighbour accusing her of insulting her as a prostitute. The incident happened at Igonga in Bomariba Kisii County.
A witness Zachary Nyaanga said the trouble started when Vivian Nyang'ara picked a quarrel with her neighbour Rose Kemunto, a mother of two.
"The two women have been living at rental houses in the area for the last six months. Vivian had a quarrel with Kemunto after which Kemunto insulted her calling her prostitute," said Nyaanga.
Mr Nyaanga said Vivian out of anger attacked Kemunto as other neighbours watched helplessly.
Area assistant chief Eric Mose condemned the two women saying unnecessary fights won't be condoned.
"I will not allow people who come from far to bring trouble in my area of administration. I have ordered Vivian and Kemunto to plan to vacate and leave for their homes before by the end of this month," he said.
He said this was not the first time Kemunto was being beaten over insulting others in the area.
The chief said Kemunto separated with her husband several months ago because she lacked respect to her husband while Vivian lives with her husband at the rented room.
