A woman who was arrested on Sunday for allegedly assaulting her a minor she has been living with will undergo a mental test before she can take the plea in court on Thursday.
Winnie Kwamboka on Monday appeared for Kisii Magistrate Ezekiel Orina but, she didn't take the plea.
The magistrate said the suspect should undergo a mental test before she faces the law.

She will be arraigned in court on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at 9 am to face assault charges.
Ms. Kwamboka was nabbed by angry residents after she burnt the minor with a hot blade on grounds that the minor had taken her Sh20.
Angry residents who rescued the minor from the woman beat up the woman before surrendering her to police officers.
The victim is currently being treated at Kisii Teaching and Referral hospital following the burn injuries she sustained.
Kisii police commander Martin Kibet said the suspect will be sent to jail to serve as an example to those fond of assaulting minors.
"People like Kwamboka without mercy on minors must be jailed to teach others a lesson," the commander stated.
