Nyamira County Women Representative Jerusha Momanyi on Sunday resurfaced and lauded Governor John Nyagarama over his efforts to clear the mess in the devolved unit.
Mrs momanyi, who spoke at Rangenyo Parish on Sunday, said she supports the idea of firing illegal workers.
She argued that Nyagarama should not listen to his rivals, instead, he should serve the people of Nyamira who gave him the opportunity to be the governor.
"I wish to express my happiness since Governor Nyagarama seems to have waken up. The huge wage bill in the county should go down by sending illegal workers who have been siphoning money from the county as salaries home," she noted.
The Jubilee allied legislator challenged Nyagarama to give deaf ears to his allies and relatives who are engaging in dubious activities within the county.
"Nyagarama need to stand firm and ensure corruption is dealt with accordingly. Residents deserve development and not few individuals enriching themselves by stealing public monies," she added.
She urged Members of the county assembly to open their eyes and work for the 'poor' electorates.
