ODM party leader Raila Odinga has been asked to give youths a chance in leadership.
Victor Swanya, while speaking in Kitutu Masaba on Sunday, said Raila should not call for a referendum with an intention to be absorbed into government.
"The former Prime Minister is right calling for a referendum but he should not have hopes to be absorbed into government because he is old. Let him allow youths to take over the leadership of this country," he said.
Mr. Ogeto insisted that Raila must accept to retire because he's been on the scene for long.
The vocal politician said the referendum will be done but creation of Prime Minister post is unnecessary.
"The referendum should reduce the wage bill and not burdening poor Kenyans by creating posts. Raila is old enough to go home and enjoy his pension in peace and stop pushing for unnecessary posts to be created in his favor," he added.
Swanya, who lost the Kitutu Masaba MP seat during the last year's polls, challenged elected leaders to focus more on development and shun early 2022 campaigns.
