Governor Ali Korane who appeared before the Senate Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Monday admitted that he does not have all the needed files at his disposal.

This forced the grilling committee to adjourn the session.

The committee chair, who is the Narok Senator Ledama Olekina, commented that the governor was not serious in the way he has been handling the matter.

“This session cannot yet proceed since the governor does not have all the required documentation that would aid Auditor General in cross checking and compiling his findings about the Garissa county expenditure. This meeting has and should just be adjourned,” said the chair, Olekina.

However, in his defense, Korane attested to the committee that his office was facing numerous challenges in accessing the all financial documents for the past regime of Nathif Jama.
