Writing is not an easy task and it requires you to have expertise in grammar. Many writers prefer using bombastic words just to prove their know how. While the word bombastic ironically sounds complex just like the words it stands for, many writers will go out of their way to use them.
Read any fictional novel today and you will need a dictionary by your side. What is to be taken seriously however is that failure to apply that bombastic word in a proper manner while writing will give readers a challenge.
You as the writer owns the writing, so when creating it, it is better to use the simplest words that you are sure of rather than using complex words you are not sure of. For example, you have heard of a word before at least you know its application but cannot remember its meaning.
If you find yourself in such a situation then avoid using that word if you cannot research it at the moment. Use another word which you know and are sure of. That is if you are writing a novel, an essay or even a new story.
Communication should be made easy by the language that you use and this should also go along with the words. So let us say you are busy writing your novel, at the moment you cannot access a dictionary.
At this instance, you discover that you do not know the meaning of the word nevertheless yet you are longing to use it in your piece of writing. No do not do that, use another word that you know instead. Later on when you can access a dictionary then you can know the meaning of nevertheless.
