Kenyans have reacted following Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho's meeting with the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Joho on Wednesday met Saudi Arabia Ambassador Dr Mohammed Abdulgani Mohammed Khayat at his office in Mombasa.
The two leaders discussed various matters including partnership in trade, tourism and other investments.
"Today I held talks with Amb Dr Mohammed Abdulgani Mohammed Khayat, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who paid me a courtesy call at my office. We discussed areas of partnership particularly trade, tourism and investment. Saudi Arabia is important to us with many of our people living and working there. We will continue working together for the betterment of the lives of Kenyan and Saudi citizens," read Joho's Facebook post.
Joho's post elicited mixed reactions among social media users, with a majority of them raising concerns over the mistreatment of Kenyans working in Saudi Arabia.
