Makueni Senator Kivutha Kibwana has addressed his position in regards to supporting Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
According to Kibwana, he will not be boxed into backing Kalonzo ahead of 2022 politics.
Speaking in Makueni during the Jamuhuri Day celebrations, Kibwana said that his intentions are pure as he has no plans of dividing the Ukambani region.
“I can’t wish to be among those out to divide Kambas, but I don’t want anybody to coerce me to support him,” he said during a Jamhuri Day rally at Nziu, Makueni.
Kibwana who has been lauded for his development record in Makueni said that he is after ideas that will develop the country.
“Some politicians led by Kitui Senator Enoc Wambua and Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi say I must support Kalonzo. That is 1980s politics. We will support what is benefiting our Kamba people and Kenya at large. As we near 2022 we will meet our people and ask them what they wan,” said Kibwana.
