A man and his wife charged with the killing of a Sengera SDA mixed secondary school form four student are out on bond.
The suspects Laban Nyaata and his wife Nancy Bochere appeared before Justice David Majanja on Tuesday.
The court heard that the suspects killed the student Alivina Moracha and dumped her body in a fish pond.
The prosecution said the suspects committed the offense on the night of September 23, 2018.
Further, the court was told that the suspects after committing the murder they went into hiding in Nairobi but, were arrested by detectives who traced them for six months.
Nyaata and his wife, however, pleaded not guilty to the murder charges leveled against them.
They pleaded with the court to release them on bond on grounds that they won't boycott court proceedings.
Justice Majanja ordered their release on Sh 300,000 bond each with a surety of a similar amount.
He set the mentioning of the case to be on March 4, 2019, and the hearing on April 3, 2019.
The judge warned them against boycotting court proceedings saying the bond will be scrapped.
