Nominated MP Maina Kamanda has yet again accused deputy president William Ruto of sabotaging President Uhuru Kenyatta in his efforts against fighting corruption.
The DP, he said, is afraid of graft purge since 'he's a beneficiary' of the unscrupulous deals that have seen the country lose billions in the recent times.
"When the president is fighting corruption, someone is out there claiming his community has been targeted. This is blackmail must stop if we have to make Kenya a better place.
"He's afraid of the war against corruption because he's a beneficiary. We know how he benefits and nobody will spare him. We are tired with such blackmail. Let him face the law," he said on Saturday.
On the handshake, Kamanda accused Ruto of scuttling the peace deal through persistent politics but vowed that his team will defend the president and Raila Odinga.
"He is fighting the handshake but I want to assure him that we will not relent. You can't fight every initiative launched by the president. We can't allow him to do that," he warned.
But at Kisii on Saturday, Ruto accused his detractors of using the 'Handshake' to intimidate him, adding that he's prepared for a major battle in the coming days.
"You can't say that you're supporting the government agenda while at night you're busy scheming. We know those ill motives and we shall handle them," he said.
