Former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Miguna Miguna has hit out on politicians and the Kenyan media for hyping the "Obama Homecoming".
In a post on his Facebook account on Saturday, the self-declared general noted that Obama was born in Hawaii and has no Kenyan citizenship or a National identity card yet he is given a warm welcome.
Miguna maintains that he is a Kenyan born citizen of Kisumu county and has since been forced into exile by President Uhuru's administration.
"Welcome Home @Barrack Obama," obtuse Kenyan politicians and their compromised media shout. The same irrational noisemakers yelling about "Homecoming for Obama" who was born in Hawaii and has no Kenyan citizenship or a National Identity Card yet they claim I am a foreigner,"reads Miguna's post.
Miguna who has been deported to Canada twice has maintained that he has never renounced his citizenship and that confiscation of his passport does not invalidate his Kenyan citizenship.
The Former United States President is expected in the country on Monday July 16 and will preside over the official opening of the sport facility in Kogelo, Siaya County.
The facility will be the first in the region and world-class athletes are set to attend its launch.
