Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has remained unshakeable following threats from a section of locals who dragged him to court following the appointment of board members for Nyamira Municipality.
The county boss instead maintained that the board members who were sworn in last week will help in solving challenges which has barred Nyamira town from growing.
"Upgrade of Nyamira town is unstoppable. Some individuals won't succeed in pressuring me to change my mind and drop the names of the board members who were sworn in legally," he stated.
The ODM allied Governor insisted that growth of the town will attract more foreign investors to the region.
"More jobs will be created for our youths once the town grows because more investors will be thronging to the town to set up businesses in the town and its environs," maintained the county boss.
He termed a section of locals who have vowed to challenge him in court after he appointed the Municipality board members as confused individuals being misused by his political rivals.
"My opponents are focused to taint my name but, I will not succumb to unnecessary pressure," he added.
