A sections of leaders allied to the Jubilee party from Gusii region have reacted following the party secretary general Raphael Tuju's latest remarks.
Mr Tuju disowned DP Ruto's 2022 presidential bid saying the party has no written documents showing that Ruto is the automatic presidential candidate come 2022.
Jubilee leaders led by Tabaka ward MCA Daniel Apepo said there is a plot within the Jubilee party to finish DP Ruto.
"It is worrying that some forces within the Jubilee party wants DP Ruto's ambition for Presidency be postponed. Tuju's remarks are uncalled for," said the ward rep.
The Jubilee elected MCA urged DP Ruto to ignore people like Tuju and Jubilee party vice chairman David Murathe who are focused to derail his presidential ambition.
"Ruto has a massive support and therefore, it is not a must for him to vie for presidency on a Jubilee party ticket," he added.
Isaac Motari, a Jubilee youth leader argued that it is too early for DP Ruto to start worrying about 2022.
"Kenyans will make a choice in 2022 and if it is Ruto who will win presidency no one is going to stop him from winning. Tuju's remarks is just an opinion," said the leader.
