Sharon Otieno's mother says she doesn't want anything to to 'with Governor Okoth Obado or any employees' of Migori County.
Amidst claims of soliciting for support from the embattled county boss, Mrs. Melida Auma termed the news about demands to Migori County 'fake' adding that bloggers have been paid to portray her negatively.
“We do not want to be involved in any way with Migori County or any of its employees. We have not asked for any help from them.
"We know some of those producing and spreading such news are Obado’s people,” she said.
A section of social media users had lynched her character after news emerged of ongoing discussion to have Mr. Obado take care of Sharon's three children.
Mr. Obado is accused of coordinating Ms. Otieno's murder with detectives insisting that he was 'unconfortable' with her pregnancy because it could have had a political backlash on the governor.
Now at Industrial Area prison, Mr. Obado will know about his bail application fate on October 8th, the same date Migori will be choosing senator.
Also in police custody in connection with the murder is Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero, both serving as aides to Mr. Obado.
