Former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa encountered a hostile crowd in Mumias, Kakamega Saturday.
Echesa accused veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga of behind the leasing of industries in Mumias and the greater Western region.
Clearly, the accusations did not sit well with some members of his audience who started jeering and heckling.
In a video, Echesa is seen making the unsubstantiated accusations in front of an incensed crowd.
"Yule mtu ako na kengele ya kuuza viwanda hapa Mumias na Western ni Raila Odinga (The person behind the selling of factories in Mumias and Western is Raila Odinga), " Echesa claimed.
Echesa was dramatically fired from the sports docket over what some saw as engaging in politics at the expense of working.
The Raila protege has long accused his mentor of being behind his woes.
Before his sacking, he claimed that Raila was plotting to have him sacked.
He made his accusations during the burial service of the late Mzee Hussein Mwanza in Mumias West.
Echesa claimed after his dramatic sacking that his support for Deputy President William Ruto cost him his job.
He has since vowed to help DP Ruto clinch the presidency in 2022.
Ambassador Amina Mohammed took over from him after a stint in the foreign affairs and education dockets.
