Kositany says DP Ruto still has his powers as enshrined in the constitution.

“As leaders from the North Rift region, we have no fear after the President gave Matiangi more powers. There is nothing we in Ruto's camp to fear since we are in Jubilee party with our leaders still the president and his deputy,” said the MP who was speaking to the press in his constituency on Friday.

“We are moving on with our daily duties. We urge Kenyans to support the President as he finalizes his term and when the right time comes we will discuss the  2022 politics,” he added.

The Jubilee MP further noted that if the president had delegated his duties of chairing the Cabinet to somebody else other than the deputy president then they would be worried but as long as the president still has the mandate there is nothing to worry.

He warned politicians and Kenyans against politically interpreting everything that happens in government.
